Honorable Power Engineer of theRussian Federation, Honorable Power Engineer of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, Philosophy Doctor (PhD) of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Rector of Kazan State Power Engineering University.
Edward Abdullazyanov was born in 1957. He began his career as a driver. In 1981 he graduated from the Kazan branch of Moscow Power Engineering Institute (now Kazan State Power Engineering University), with the qualification of an engineer and in 1991 he graduated from Kazan Financial and Economic Institute.
Since 1988 he worked in the structures of JSC «Tatenergo», where he held positions of Deputy General Director, General Director of JSC «Network Company». Being in the leading positions of enterprises of the power system of Tatarstan, he paid much attention to the introduction of advanced scientific developments in production.
All scientific and pedagogical activities of Abdullazyanov are associated with the Kazan State Power Engineering University. Since the year 2000, Edward Abdullazyanov began to be engaged in scientific research work in the field of developing methods and means of improving the design, operation and management of electrical networks in power supply systems and after defending his thesis in 2003 he was awarded a scientific degree of PhD of Technical sciences. Simultaneously with scientific and production work, he began to lecture (to teach) in his native university. As a person directly connected with production and personally engaged in operation of Tatarstan power system he shares his working experience in the electric power industry with his students. He takes part in scientific conferences of various levels. In 2007, Edward Abdullazyanov was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor and was elected the head of «Energy supply of enterprises of the agricultural-industrial complex» department of the Kazan State Power Engineering University. Under his scientific supervision three people defended their theses as Philosophy Doctors (PhD) of technical sciences, in the specialty 05.09.03 — Electrotechnical complexes and systems, were prepared.
From June 2012 Abdullazyanov is the rector of the Kazan State Power Engineering University. He participates actively in scientific events, in establishment of cooperation with scientists from Russian and foreign universities and organizations, in the development of a modern research base of the university, in the implementation of applied scientific-research works on research methods directed to improve the reliability of electricity supply to industrial consumers and writes and publishes scientific papers. He is the winner of the Russian contest «Manager of the Year -2014».
For achievements in scientific activity, training of scientific and engineering personnel, he was awarded the honorary title of «Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation», the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of theRussian Federationand the Honorary Silver Sign of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. For his personal contribution to the development of education and science in the fuel and energy sector, he was awarded with the Certificate of Honor of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of theRussian Federationby the Consultative Council under the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy.
Edward Abdullazyanov was awarded the title of «Honorable Power Engineer» by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation for the great contribution to the development of the energy industry, he also has the honorary title «Honorable Power Engineer of the Republic of Tatarstan», as well as the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Certificate of Honor of the Minister of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Medal «For services to OJSC» Grid Company «. For significant contribution to the development of the operational and dispatching management of the Unified Energy System of Russia and OA «System Operator of the Unified Energy System» he was awarded by a commemorative badge «95th Anniversary of Operational Dispatch Management».
In 2017 he was awarded the medal of the Order «For Merits to the Republic of Tatarstan» and the mark of distinction «For the impeccable service of Kazan». (Meritorious Service to Kazan).
